They discuss the changing role of A&R in 2018, How does an artist get on his radar? What has to be present for him to seriously consider signing an artist? What are the most important NON MUSIC related aspects in determining if he signs and artist or not? How important is the role of live performance in his decision to sign an act? What makes a great A&R Executive?

Jeff Vaughn is VP of A&R, Artist Partners and Artist Publishing Group. He has signed and/or directly A&R'd gold and platinum certified artists including Kevin Gates, Kehlani, Lil Skies, Youngboy Never Broke Again, Fast 8 soundtrack, and more. Vaughn is currently focused on breaking rising stars Rico Nasty and Quando Rondo, among other exciting acts. He is based in Los Angeles.
