Music is leading creative industries into the digital age. New licensing models raised the digital share of music industry revenues to an estimated 29% in 2010 or $4.6 billion. These numbers are expected to grow steadily over the medium term. ABN's Wole Famurewa spoke to Eric Idiahi, CEO of Splinlet Limited in Nigeria, a company that is planning to launch a pan African mobile music distribution platform next month.
